RPG Games also known as Role Playing Games are currently played by millions of youth nationwide. “Role-playing games are games in which players assume the roles of fictional characters and collaboratively create stories. Players determine the actions of their characters based on their characterization, and the actions succeed or fail according to a system of rules and guidelines. Within the rules, players can improvise freely; their choices shape the direction and outcome of the games”(Encyclopædia Britannica).
In simple words, role playing games are like theatres but with a certain twist. The twist is that your playing while youre taking the role of a character in a game. Just like in Dota 2 where players choose heroes as characters for the game.
Sometimes role playing is compared to theater, but it’s not like you’d see in a regular play on a stage. Your story is already written, and you tell it with costumes, props, and scenery as much as with your words.
Role playing in games are unorthodoxical to the point where in-game characters also experience real life natural phenomenas. Like in Sims, characters have the tendency to be hungry, thirsty or even dying. This is how RPG games have grown throughout the years. With the large amount of people it is somewhat hard to control everyone. Therefore, it should be better that you’ll do it alone rather than forcing him/ her.
I, as an example, am an RPG Gamer. I’m currently in my conquest to be one of the most prominent Pokemon Trainers. There is no simple way of not getting addicted to such RPG. Thousands of children are currently playing RPGs. Heck, in the near future, even you will get addicted to such games. With this rapid growth, nothing can stop the gaming empire brought forth by Role Playing Games.
